Dr Monika Magee qualified as a dentist with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Pécs in Hungary in 2007. Following three years of postgraduate training in Pécs, specialising in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics, she started to work at the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the University of Semmelweis, Budapest, where she was supervising and teaching undergraduate students as well as doing general dental work. During that time at Semmelweis, she developed a special interest in Endodontics (root canal treatments), an interest that grew stronger in the years that followed.
She moved to Ireland in 2013 and since then she has been working as a general dentist for private practices in Dublin, doing mostly root canal treatments. She believes that continuing professional development is essential for growth as a dental practitioner. She is currently enrolled in a master’s degree specialising in Endodontics with the University of Chester in England.
